Carolyne Henry, York County's first Distinguished Young Woman, will compete on July 30, 2011 in Johnstown in the Distinguished Young Women of Pennsylvania.  

The Distinguished Young Women's motto, Emphasis on Education, is the foundation on which the entire Distinguished Young Women program and experience is built.

Distinguished Young Women of York County continues to emphasize education by recognizing, rewarding and encouraging excellence in young women with scholarship dollars to further their education.
